Principal's Message
Since 1992, the Calgary Islamic School has been educating students from around the Calgary area with a specific focus on nurturing in them a profound love of Allah and His Messenger, our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
Our outstanding teachers and support staff are dedicated to developing and nurturing our students' faith in Allah, and preparing them to be engaged citizens, stewards of humanity and people of beautiful character. In addition to being taught the Alberta Program of Studies through an Islamic worldview, our students learn the Quran, the various Islamic Sciences, and the Arabic language. They attend daily dhuhr prayers and Jumu`ah and have countless opportunities to serve the Muslim community as well as the greater Calgary community. At Akram-Jomaa School we believe that service is an essential quality of a believer and we strive to raise students that find fulfillment in serving others.
Our goal is to help all students achieve their full potential in all aspects of life. We strive to offer a broad range of courses in addition to the traditional core subjects. We have a diverse school community committed to carrying out our mission.
